Hello Everyone! I have a finish for you today for the 2017 Finish-A-Long. You can find my list here. It’s the November Mini Embroidery quilt from Jenny of Elefantz’s “a year in the garden”.
I actually finished this several weeks ago, but my computer has been out for repair, so I haven’t been able to blog. The border fabric is from Chestnut Street by Figtree and Co.
The above picture shows the embroidery a little bit better. I used DMC floss, Aurifloss and Sue Spargo perle cotton. I quilted it with Aurifil 50 wt. cotton.
Here it is on the background quilt. I love the fall colors. I haven’t started December’s yet, but I think I will go back to the light background quilt or I might have to do a special one just for December. We’ll see how the time goes.
I have been busy with an Instagram contest using Bonnie and Camille fabrics, #12contestsbonnieandcamille.
These are a few of the blocks. The pattern, Vintage Holiday Mini, is also by Camille of Thimbleblossoms. I just have to bind it. The mini is also this month’s Minis and More project.
You still have time to make it if you want to join in and send a picture to Sherri or Michele.
I’ve also been busy with other things, but I’ll update you sometime next week on those. I’m off to Melbourne, FL (by myself) to watch my daughter swim at her mid-season swim meet. I’m looking forward to some warm weather and maybe a little beach time. I also have that December embroidery to work on while I’m there.
I hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.
Love the ornament blocks. Hope Emily did well at the meet.
