WIP Update

Hello Everyone! Hope you’re having a great week. I have just a few things to share that I’ve been working on this past week.

First up, Moda Block Head Blocks:

The Blockhead BOW is getting closer to the end. Only 11 more to go. I have a setting in mind, and have been looking for fabric, but I would like to use a black print that would go with the fabrics that I’ve been using. Most of the black prints are over 5 years old and leftovers from a quilt I made my brother-in-law. I may have to go with a solid.

In my last post, I showed you a few pictures of the Vintage Holiday Mini blocks from the Instagram contest. I have the mini finished, but don’t have pictures of it yet. While I was posting pictures of things that I have made with Bonnie and Camille fabrics and patterns, I posted this picture of a swoon block:

Somebody pointed out to me that the part of the block was backwards. I looked at it, and couldn’t see it until I looked at a few earlier blocks,

Can you see the difference? The white triangle on the corner units should be on the inside, not the outside. I made three of them wrong. I hope to get these fixed by the end of the month so I can show them for the contest. I probably would not have noticed them until I had the whole quilt put together. Then, they would have stayed.

I told you that I was going to see my daughter swim in Melbourne, FL last weekend. It was great to see her swim and we were able to have lunch together a couple of the days. I found four quilt shops to visit one afternoon, so that was fun, then we went to Melbourne Beach and had lunch one day.

The Atlantic is much prettier in Florida than it is further up the coast. On Sunday, the morning session was over about 11:15 and my flight didn’t leave until 5:30 so I had some time to kill. I drove to Sebastian Inlet State Park and had lunch and spent some time exploring then killed a few hours working on some embroidery for an upcoming month of Jacquelynne Steve’s Art of Home Club. This was my view:

Lovely to sit there for a few hours. This is a sneak peek of what I’ve been working on,

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgivingwith family and friends. We have some outings planned for the next few days ourselves. Thanks for stopping by.
