It’s time for #wintercrossstitchcamp and the theme is stitch something in a series. I’ve chosen one of Melisa’s, @pinkernpunkinquilting, Saltbox houses, The Tulip House. I’ve stitched at least five of her free house patterns. I’ll be stitching on 32 ct ivory Lugana but will be changing the house color to a springy blue.Really enjoyed the two color challenge in the Fig Tree Facebook group in January! I used Joanna’s Side Vintage Spool design from the book #ascrapbookofquilts to make the pillow. It can also be used as a table runner. Fabrics are from a variety of Moda designers. Love to free motion quilt these smaller projects. This week I finally used the hexi flowers I made last year from a mini charm of #kateandbirdie Return to Winters Lane. Found #aquiltinglife Bouquet pattern to use. The taupe is a #minickandsimpson fabric, the pink is #eyditasitar and the white is #zenchic Spotted. Unfortunately, the taupe color is very hard to photograph and is softer looking in person.I made my first block for my quilt groups Stars My Way BOM. I’ll be adding a pieced center to the blue or tan Star points. I didn’t use a pattern, but did use the #itssewemma foundation paper for the square in a square and it was perfect. Most of the fabric is #minickandsimpson Lexington.Follow on Pinterest
