Hello Everyone! I was hoping to get a quilting update in last weekend, but we’ve been busy bees this past few weeks. I felt like I was caught up from the Maine trip and then we were off again last Sunday to Camp at Smith Mountain Lake SP near Roanoke, VA. The few days before that we went to a winery and to watch a Civil War Re-enactment, plus get ready for camping. I’ll have a post on camping soon. It was a great, but coldish trip.
It’s been several weeks since my last quilting update and I have accomplished a few things!

I got the backing made for the On Point Quilt. The fabric I bought to go with the back wasn’t enough so I added in the leftover strips from cutting the triangles. The the fabric is Basic Grey’s Figgy Pudding from a long time ago. I used the Grunge as a border and to add extra fabric to the back. Angela Walters made the quilt on an Episode of “The Midnight Quilt Show” and from a design by Cozy Quilt Designs. I need to buy batting and I will be ready to quilt!

I also made progress on Autumn Stars. I’ve got all the blocks sewn together and am working on sewing the rows together. I hope to have the top finished by the end of the week.

The Moda Blockheads 4 top is almost finished, too. I need to add the borders and call it complete. I’ve been playing around with the size of the blue border and I think I’m going with the narrow version. The white will go on the outside and I’ll either use the red or blue for the binding. I also hope to have this top finished by the end of the week.
Getting everything accomplished depends on what we do this week. It will probably be peek leaf time so we may take a drive. I’m also going to a quilt shop in a nearby town with the quilt group on Friday. I hope to find backing for both the Autumn Stars and Blockheads quilt. I also have a few cross stitch pieces to get fully finished. I’ll share those in my next post.
I hope you have a great start to your week and enjoy some lovely fall weather. Thanks so much for stopping by.
Brenda
Love what you’ve gotten done so far. I haven’t done any sewing at all-even hand sewing. I need to get to work!
