Hello Everyone and welcome to Works In Progress Wednesday where I share my cross stitch progress for the week. I have continued to work mostly on my “fall smalls” and got a new start on a special project.
First though, let’s start with Scenic Farm. I finished all the leaves in the tree and have the upper branches done. It makes it much easier to fill in the background sky when that’s complete. This is the last tree! You can see the upper right corner for the piece. Yippee!
I also have a finish this week, Ophelia Manor of Punkin Holler Lane by Melisa of Pinker n Punkin Quilting. This is really cute going into Halloween. Melisa also has a version where the pumpkins are jack-o-laterns. Both are really cute, but I liked this one a little better. Of course, I messed up the house, so it’s not like the original, but it turned out fine. I tea dyed the Light Mocha 32 ct Zwiegert fabric and I like the bit of extra richness it gives to the fabric.
I started A Raven’s Reply by Misty Pursel and finished the raven. I believe I said I would be stitching this on 32 ct, but I ended up using 40 ct Porcelain, hand dyed by Misty instead. I cut it off the bottom of my Flea Market Flowers project. When I get back to this, I’m going to start on the border so I don’t leave it until the end.
Now I have a special start from Hands On Design. If you follow the cross stitching world, you will probably have heard that Cathy did a special design for the Iowa Special Olympics with Lois of Lady Dot Creates.
The Philanthropic Pumpkin is a limited edition and went on sale last week and sold out quickly. I was lucky enough to get one from Lady Dot Creates. She shipped it very quickly and I received it on Saturday and started it on Sunday. The pattern came with the finishing kit and linen from Lois and you just needed to add the DMC. I have a nice two day start on it and will continue to work on it so I can finish it for this season.
I’m in the process of making project bags for my Etsy shop this week. I haven’t made any since we moved, but I found some really cute fall fabric to use. I hope to have those listed by next week so stay tuned.
I hope you all have a great rest of your week and thanks for stopping by.
