Hello Everyone! Is it just me or are you saying “I can’t believe it’s already the end of the month?” This month has flown by and I think October will be the same way. While my daughter was here last week, I didn’t get to do any sewing, but I did get my stitching in during the early morning hours and in the evenings. I even have a new finish!

After taking two weeks off from Scenic Farm, I started back on it. I started one of the sky colors and finished all the leaves. It’s much easier to stitch those first, then I can fill in the sky behind them. I am very close to the right edge of the piece, only 15 more stitches. When I first did the sky, the hoop was in a different position. Now I can go ahead and finish those rows to the end.

I also started the large and last piece of Hands On Design Well Rounded-Autumn. I’ve been loading up a couple of needles with the yellow so I can just keep on stitching. I hope to finish this one by the end of next week, depending on what else I work on.

I finally finished Let’s Talk Autumn, also by Hands On Design. I started it last October and stitched “Harvest and Blessing” and a few leaves before putting it down. Once I got close to a finish last week, I kept on working on it until it was done. Do you do that or if you have plans, do you stick to your plans? It’s stitched on 18 ct Aida using the called for DMC’s.

I have also finished Let’s Talk Winter. I haven’t decided how I want to finish either of them yet. My plan is to finish them in a way so they are interchangeable. I also have the charts for Spring and Summer. I probably won’t start them until after the new year. Why get something done early?

I’ve liked working on these fall smalls! I’m going to start a new one today, A Raven’s Reply by Misty Pursel of Luminous Fiber Arts. I’ve had the chart for two years and it’s time to start. Misty’s sample is stitched on 40 ct, but I don’t have any in my stash that will work. I pulled this 32 ct Weeks Parchment to use. It will be about an inch larger, but I think that will be okay.

I have to share a new Saltbox freebie from Melisa.

I really like this little house with the leaves on the trees. I don’t know if I’ll get to it this year, but I have downloaded it and it will be ready for me when I’m ready for it. Be sure to check our Melisa’s post for yourself at Pinker n Punkin Quilting & Stitching.

We are going to my family reunion on Saturday. I’m looking forward to seeing family I haven’t seen in years. The weather is supposed to be perfect so we will be outside. I’m also hoping to get my table runner finished by then. I hope you all have a great week and weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

I’m always excited to see how far you have come with your cross-stitches. Your ‘Let’s Talk Autumn’ piece is beautiful. I just might tuck those into my wish list for future. Exciting to see your Scenic Farm coming along nicely too. Enjoy your family reunion! It was so special to be able to hug again, when we were together last weekend. Family time is special!

Hope you have a great time with your family, and yes ANOTHER month has flown by! I downloaded the freebie and “hope” to stitch it this year-we’ll see. I now have a plan for the salt boxes in the kitchen and hope to be able to switch out decorations on those impractical open shelves and use some stitched items as filler.

Nope, the year is just flying by. Your work is very beautiful and you still seem to be getting lots done

Oh I absolutely love all your cross stitch pieces!! The one you have done on black is perfection. Is it hard to stitch on black?
