A Stitchy Update

Hello Everyone! I thought I would share a little cross-stitching update with you today. The only sewing/quilting I’ve done in two weeks is working on the next set of projects for the Happy Little Things BOM (sign up here), but I can’t share that with you yet.

Hands on Design Harvest Chalk Full Small

While my daughter was home last week, I started working on the small from the Harvest Chalk Full pattern. It’s stitching up pretty fast, so I hope to finish it before we leave on our trip.

Farmhouse Christmas – Part 6 Little House Needleworks

I had just finished Farmhouse Christmas – Part 6, Pinewood Farm before my daughter came home, but I stitched it in the wrong square.

If you look at the original design, there is a big white house in that square. I remember thinking I wanted to do a quick one instead of the big house so I pulled Part 6 out. But, because I was looking at the one in the 7th square, I think that’s why I stitched it there. Oh well, I’m still happy with it. I’m going to mix up the rest of the designs so it will look intentional.

November by Prairie Schooler

I pulled November out to work on it while in the car to Dahlonega last week. I finished the house, windows and doors since the last time I worked on it. I also started the alphabet in the grass. I think I’m going to take it on our Virginia trip because it’s easy to work on. The fabric is a 32 ct cream Lugana so it’s easy to see and I’m using mostly the called for DMC floss.

My cross-stitch plans for the rest of the month are to finish another section of Little House Needleworks Jack’s Tree Farm and go back to the Mason Jar Harvest Chalk Full. That’s about a third finished.

For all of those who are members of Jacquelynne Steves The Art of Home Club, the Halloween and Harvest Collection will be out on August 20th. I’m excited to share that because I designed the overall layout of the projects and all the Halloween and pumpkin appliques.

If you’re a cross-stitcher, let me know what you are working on now. Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Those are some great cross stitch designs! I am glad you decided to work around the error, because it would have been so much work to replace that..
