You can enter to win and find out a little about each of the bloggers on Jacquelynne’s website here.

Last year I introduced myself and shared a little bit about my non-quilting life. This year, I thought I would share a little about my quilting and crafting life. I love to sew and have been sewing in some form or another since I was 10 years old. I learned to crochet and cross-stitch in high school and made my first quilt when I was 26 years old. I didn’t make another one until I was in my early 30’s. However, I made lots of my own clothes during those years and still do occasionally.

A dress I made a few years ago.

Now, I mostly quilt, embroider, cross-stitch and do a little knitting. I love Jacquelynne’s patterns because they encompass some of the things I like to do, such as embroider and applique.

Cozy Afternoon 2015 BOM

Jacquelynne’s 2015 Cozy Afternoon was the first BOM that I followed online and is still one of my favorites. I was not blogging then, but enjoyed following along with the featured bloggers. I started blogging in 2016 and was excited when Jacquelynne chose me to be a featured blogger for Maggie’s first dance and have been participating ever since then.

Maggie’s First Dance (I made two)!

Besides being a featured blogger for the free BOM’s, I’ve designed a few collections with Jacquelynne for The Art of Home Club.

Timber and Christmastime Collection
The Needles Collection

I’ve also designed the Halloween portion of The Art of Home Collection coming up in August.

Besides designing for Jacquelynne, I’ve designed a few bag and quilt patterns that are for sale in my Esty shop.

I also have a few vinyl front project bags in my Etsy shop.

These are all the rage for cross-stitchers and I have four of them to keep my projects in. They would be great for any hand project though. If you are like me and have multiple projects going on at a time, the vinyl lets you see at a glance which project is in the bag. In honor of the Happy Little Things kickoff, I am placing all my items on sale through Sunday, July 27, for 20% off. Use code HPL20. I also offer free shipping on the project bags.

I love making mini quilts, too. Here are just a few of my favorites.

I have a lot of favorites. (Click on an image for a larger view). I participate in Sherry McConnell’s, A Quilting Life, Minis and More Parade every month, so I have quite a few. One way to display so many is to turn them into pillows. They are also displayed on my walls and tables throughout my house.

I think that’s enough about my sewing adventures for now. I hope you take a few minutes to explore some of my blog posts. If you’re a traveler, check out my travel category (on the right sidebar). I also have some tutorials on my tutorial page (on the top menu).

Remember to enter the giveaway on Jacquelynne’s blog here.

I’ll have my rendition of Happy Little Things, Block 1 on Monday, August 5. Thanks for stopping by.
